What's going on you petrol-heads?

In the last post I brought up the topic of the Recruitment Status. It seems that some people who are wanting to be a part of Six Star Street Racers are still puzzled on how to join so if this is what you are here to see, scroll further down. In this post I will be going over the recent crew activity and how to have YOUR say.

Crew Activity

In the past month the Leaders been trying to keep the crew as active as possible with as many Crew Meets and activities as possible while trying to keep quality over quantity. We usually host official crew meets on Xbox One every Wednesday and Sunday. Wednesday will be an official themed crew meet i.e. Iconic Cars Meet, Sports Cars Only Meet or a VIP Meet. And Sunday's will be home to our generic official crew meets such as Speed, Outlaw, Drift or Antagoniser Meet. These are the crew meets where a  Leader of the crew will host it whether that be Robin (GTAWiseGuy), Jake (Viboxing) or Eugene (TastyBuilder).

Having your say...

However, we do encourage all members of the crew to host there own meets when an official crew meet isn't being held. We want everyone to meet new people in the crew without the Leaders having to force people to do that. If you are going to be hosting your own meet and would like a leader of the crew to post an in-game crew message so you can get a bigger lobby, please tweet us on twitter @6SSRCrew. 

In addition to this we are still taking in Snapmatic's to post on our Instagram (SixStarStreetRacers). We have seen how great some of your ideas and angles are and we's absolutely love to get your work recognised. If you want to be featured on the official page then simply tag your photo's with the #6SSR and we will pick the best ones.

On the other hand, we love this website for posting blogs and keeping you guys updated but it just isn't enough for the crew. So several Leaders of the crew have had the idea to create a new website where crew members can have their say and post ideas on forums and create places to express the interests with each other. This is just a topic at the moment so take this with a grain of sodium chloride. If we do decide to go ahead with this idea, then it will take months of graft and hard work so please be patient if we say its going to be a 'thing'.

GTA Online Updates

So Recently Rockstar have updated the game with some pretty dank features. The arrival of CEO offices which act as a crew meeting room, being able to buy and sell contraband so easily and the countless amounts of clothing items and new, fresh whips (Even though the X80 Proto looks like a bat-mobile). With all this great new content, Rockstar also added a new Adversary Mode called 'Power Play'. This is personally my favorite Adv. Mode of them all as I feel it was a step up from the previous ones. If you haven't already tried it out, I encourage you to give it a go. If you weren't aware, Rockstar have added all the previous Independence Day content with discounted prices into GTA Online until the 11th July with a 2X GTA$ and RP Playlist.

This is Our Return!

Hello to all current and aspiring crew members!

As you may have noticed, Six Star Street Racers has been quite inactive of the last few months. This is because the academic year has been coming to an end and the Leaders and Co-Leaders of the crew have been knuckling down finishing off their studies and education. This now means we have time to to focus a bit more on the crew itself and get more done.

Grand Theft Auto V has been a little bit of a ghost town lately simply because of the lack of content being pushed into the game. Now we as a crew don't like to depend primarily on Updates to keep us active. However, we do, like any other crew, love when new content is added to the game as it gives us something new to get stuck into.

With the arrival of Further Adventures In Finance & Felony just days away (Tuesday 7th June) means not only will there be a car meet on Tuesday, but that Rockstar are adding in some pretty neat additions to the game including a cross between a Lamborghini Huracan and Lykan Hypersport. Not only that but you will be able to become a CEO and make bare stacks fam. You can get a full run down of what to expect in GTAWiseGuy's Trailer Breakdown Here.

What were we talking about again? Oh yes, the crew. Rockstar have recently updated the Social Club crew page which now makes it easier to manage the crew. We still have 22,000+ pending requests but Rockstar have now made it so that only 1000 requests will load on the 'Manage Crew' Page. They have also made it easier to Promote Members and Kick Pests. Leaders are now able search for a person by their Gamertag & PSN ID as well as their Social Club ID's.

For those who are still waiting to join the crew. We are still working on a quick way to get in the best members. At the moment, on Xbox One at least, the Representatives and Lieutenants are now our recruitment method. You must message them on Xbox One and they will talk to you and look at your garage etc. If you would like to go through this process, the Gamertag's to message are:

Six Star Street Racers Refreshed

Hello dedicated Six Star Street Racers. The last post was talking about the 'Current Recruitment Status'. In this post I will cover all of this plus more exciting features that will be coming to the crew.

First off I would just like to speak on behalf of everyone of you and say that the previous January update to GTA Online was something that our crew and other racing crews really needed. I can only hope that the Sultan RS and the Banshee 900R won't be the only additional cars that Benny wants to touch up. The fact the the DLC came as a total surprise to us all is exciting and if you have any interesting builds of the new rides we would love to see them, which brings me onto the next subject.

Crew Snapmatics

I'm guessing you are all aware of the Crew Snapmatic feature via the Social Club. Well we have seem to have neglected this and we would like to make it a big part of the crew. Our Instagram page has been incredibly inactive and in the past it has been only mine and GTAWiseguy's pictures. However we would love to start making it more about the crew and feature some of our members Snapmatics. I think its safe to say that the Snapmatic app on your in-game phone is pointless and the Rockstar Editor is where it's all at. If you would like us to post your snaps on our Instagram but don't quite know how to use the Rockstar Editor then check out this video How To Take Snapmatics Using The Rockstar Editor by my good friend Vinewood Motors. When you have got your perfect Snapmatic, then please upload it to Social Club and put a post on the Six Star Street Racers Crew wall and put 'Instagram Entry' and then a link to your Snapmatic.

Recruitment Process

In our previous recruitment process you used to have to send an application to one of the leaders and then you would be picked from your unique application. This didn't really get us to know our new members and wasn't very interactive. Our Representatives and Lieutenants didn't really have much to do in the past so now recruiting is going to be down to them. They will meet up with the person who wants to join the crew, check out their garage and find out a little bit of why they're interested in joining 6SSR. All members who are recruited will have their Social Club noted in case they need to be removed from the crew for some reason. Every month or so, the main leaders will get together with the Representatives and Lieutenants and see who they've recruited. We really hope this will help in the long run.

Staying Connected

When a crew meet is hosted, some people miss them for some reason. Maybe they didn't get a notification in-game or just haven't got access to some of the platforms open to the crew members. If you are in the crew to make new friends then you might want to take note of this next bit. In the crew we have several different Social Media Platforms to stay connected with one another. We have Kik, a Facebook Group, Twitter and Instagram. All of these can keep you up-to-date with all of our crew meets, announcements and anything else crew related including getting to know each other in between crew meets. Current Recruitment Status

Hello my fellow car enthusiasts. We understand that plenty of you are raring to join the crew and we are seriously overwhelmed with the amount of applications we have received. We created the previous recruitment process to single out certain people who we thought were fit for the crew down to their unique application.

Being the only crew to be featured on the Rockstar Newswire 3 times is an absolute honour and we can't thank you all enough for watching our crew leaders videos so much (GTAWiseGuy). Now with this privilege also brings a lot of pressure to the crew and we feel like the recruitment process may need updating.

Now at the moment we have 21,000+ pending requests to join the crew with at least 300 people in total sending applications through Rockstar Social Club Private Messages to the Commissioners of the crew.

Crew Commissioners, at the moment, are talking with each other to think of a better way to recruit new members and make sure we get the right people. Several ideas have popped up during this process and all are being taken into consideration. If you are currently waiting on an invite to the Six Star Street Racers, we ask for your patience for now as we finalize everything. Hello aspiring and current Six Star members to the official crew blog!

We're a huge family of like minded car enthusiasts enjoying the games we love the most, currently only on GTA 5 but likely to also become involved with Need for Speed 2015 on release. We're a chill community and have zero tolerance for hate or disruption in crew sessions, action is taken quickly and any disruptive members are kicked instantly. This crew was crafted to become the home of the greatest car community on GTA 5 and a place for competition where each member can make a name for them self by climbing the ladder and even open to challenge for the ultimate top spot of Street King!

As a member of the Six Star Street Racers you'll be able to participate in frequent chill car meets, followed by a selection of activities themed differently to cater for every type of GTA player; in which you can earn points to climb our leaderboard.
